Every couple of days, Mary makes new strides towards being a happy and less fearful companion.  The most recent change is that now when I get home from work at the end of the day, Mary is jumping and wagging her whole body.  I get down on the floor and move my hands around and she jumps around is completely unafraid to be petted with the same hands that she's dancing around.  This is HUGE for her.  She still has moments where she is not sure whether to trust whether to let me pet her but there are more and more times where she just comes up to me without having to decide first. 

 

Thank you so much - Marilyn's Voice and Marcy - for rescuing Mary from the terrible conditions she was living in and letting me adopt her.  It is such an honor to be her mom and I'm completely head over heels for her.
